This durastill water distiller uses 1000 watts heating element. I was surprised as of how accurate it actually consumes. My Kill-a-Watt meter actually registers exactly 1000 watts (without the cooling fan on).

When the cooling fan turns on, total power consumption is 1045 watts.

1045 watts is needed continuously. Same before water boils, after water boils, after it is producing distilled water, etc... ALWAYS 1045 watts!

CRACK STIX permanent expansion joint filler [FULL HOW-TO]

This is the missing instructional video for Crack Stix. I searched everywhere for a good how-to video for crack stix and did not find any. So I decided to create one myself. I hope this is helpful for someone.

Here are the steps you need to do to lay down and torch crack stix:

1. Prepare and clean the hole / crack.
2. Pour sand in to the crack until 1/4 inch from the top.
3. Lay down the crack stix and press down compacting the sand.
4. Torch and melt the crack stix, working in small sections (about 1 - 2 feet at a time).

Unboxing and review of the Oxylam 9012 HIR2 led bulbs for my RAM 1500 truck headlight LED (low beam).

This LED claims to have 10,000 Lumens. It seems to be quite well made. It comes with manual (instructions) and a pair of bulbs.

There is no resistor or can bus decoder included.

I have installed this in to my RAM 1500 truck. I am not very happy with the brightness and the beam pattern of the bulb on the street. When I see the patter on the garage door test, it looks okay, but on the street (dark, at night), I can tell bright and dim spots.

1. There are 2 ways to start an ARC: Tapping -or- Scratching
2. Once the ARC has started, you would want to pause for about 1 second to build up the pool of molten steel.
3. Then you can slowly move your rod away slowly while KEEPING really close to the existing pool.

In the next video we will learn how to keep the ARC going and keeping your weld straight!

After installing and using this Chapin Hydrofeed Liquid Injector for about 2 weeks...

I have nothing but trouble!!!

Constant leaks day by day. The leaks are not from the attachment of the system to my pipes. The leaks are from the clear flimsy 1/4 inch hoses and from the top cover of the tank.

I have contacted Chapin by phone, they claim they have never heard of any issues like this.
They offered a replacement, but I told them that will not solve the problem, because the problem is the flimsy rubber clear hoses and the rubber seal on top of the tank. Those are the ones leaking!!!

I don't trust them when they said they never heard of anybody having same problem.

This was NOT a cheap system, it cost about $80 on Amazon!

1. Change default mastercode to your own mastercode

a. let's say you want to change the default mastercode 00123456 to 00121212

Enter *5#00#123456#121212# - you should hear a beep after entering which indicates success. 

Now you can use this code to unlock the door as well as add, and delete codes and other accessories (i.e. key fob, remote)

NOTE: When unlocking the door with a code, you need to enter "#" at the end. So to unlock using this mastercode it would be 00121212#.

Add passcode

Let’s say the made-up master code is 00121212

a. Assign a user prefix to your user passcode. This is a two digit number from 10-59 that will be the identifier for this user. For example the master code prefix is 00 and then 123456 is the passcode but you have to enter all 8 numbers together to unlock the door or perform any modifications.

Let’s say the prefix is 18 for this user and passcode you made up is 222222. 

b. Enter your mastercode - 00121212# - wait for a beep 

b. Enter *1#1#18222222# - a long beep indicates success

Now you can unlock the door by entering 18222222#

Add key fob 

a. Assign a user prefix to your key fob. The user prefix is a two digit number from 10-59 that will be the identifier for this key fob. Say you lose this key fob, and you want to delete it. You would delete the key fob by referencing the user prefix. [more on this in the manual under "delete one RF Card"] 

So for this example, let's say the key fob user prefix you assigned is 22 and your mastercode for this example is 00121212.

b. Enter your mastercode - 00121212# - wait for a beep 

c. Enter *2#1#22# - when you see a green light, hold key fob to the number pad - one beep should proceed this to indicate success 

To use the key fob, simply hold it against the number pad of the lock.

Add remote control

For this example the master code will be 00121212, prefix - 3

A. Assign a user prefix between 1-8, in this example we will use 3. 

b. Enter your mastercode - 00121212# - wait for a beep 

C. Enter *3#1#3# - when you see a green light, press and hold the unlock button of the remote control towards the lock for 3-4 seconds until you hear a beep which means it was successfully added.
