The SLA1156 will physically fit and operate a wheelchair but internally it will breakdown much sooner than a deep cycle battery will and we do not recommend it for use in wheelchairs. Interstate recommends the DCM0035 for wheelchair applications. It (DCM0035) is designed for the constant deep discharges in a mobility application. The lead plates are thicker internally and more robust allowing for more deep cycles.
